Choosing your wick
Wick selection is critical to achieving a great burning candle, selecting the correct wick should take into account the wax type, fragrance, burn width requirement and colour. We always test burn our wicks to establish the correct one for the job. We detail below what we use each wick for but this serves merely as a rough guide and the suitability of a wick for your application should be established by your own testing. Our pre-tabbed wicks for container candles are primed and set on sustainers and are cotton braid with tin silver cores for stability. Our wick for pillar candles is pure flat braided cotton which tends to be self trimming .Most of our stock wicks are manufactured in the U.K. however we do also pre-tabbed wicks by Wedo as an alternative for some applications/
Pretabbed wicks British Made
We produce most of our own standard sustained wicks in 110mm long format which is ideal for a 30 cl whisky tumbler. Obviously these can be trimmed for shorter containers. If you require longer wick lengths do call for details. Our smallest wick Size one suitable for votives and shots is available in 80mm length. Our wicks have a tin silver strengthener with wax coating and we use these with all types of container wax. Available in 7 sizes they are triple braided cotton
Available in 6 strand - 8 strand - 10 strand- 12 strand-14 strand-16 strand-18 strand-20 strand we find that the 14 strand is suitable in burn width for most applications in a 75mm diameter glass with plain uncoloured but scented wax.

British made triple braid wick for pillar and taper candles.
We manufacture all our candles with this wick which is ideal for both paraffin ansd soy pillar candles. Comes bleached and solutioned ready for in candle moulds and votives.
Whilst we carry 7 wick sizes as standard we find that we only require three sizes of wick to cover virtually all of our 1inch to 3inch pillar candle production. Available in 10 metre carded lengths or 250gm spools.(to order)
